A Wedding in York, England

What stunning photos to receive from Melissa and Adam following their beautiful wedding in York, UK. Melissa wanted a dress that suited her own sense of style and she chose our Mia Wedding Dress in Ivory with our matching Smooth Satin Sash in Oyster.

Where did you meet?

Adam and I met in my first job working as a waitress in Newark on Trent. I was there for around a year before Adam joined the team and we both had eyes for one another!

Where did you get married and why did you choose this venue?

We got married at York registry office. The reason why we chose York is because it is such a beautiful place and when our daughter grows a little older to understand these things, we can take here there and reminisce on when she was inside my tummy her mummy and daddy got married there.

Tell us about the dress!

I specifically searched for maternity wedding dresses online as I knew I wanted a straight forward dress in terms of not having to have constant alterations etc. The Mia Dress stood out to me for many reasons. It is just my sense of style; I love the floaty part at the bottom and I loved the pretty sparkly part at the top. The sash just topped the look off and pulled it all together.

Any advice for future pregnant brides planning a wedding?

My advice for future pregnant brides would be that it is so important to be comfortable on your special day and these specially made maternity wedding dresses are perfect and also really flattering.

Any fun facts to share?

A fun fact? Mia is what myself and Adam decided to name our daughter before I started to choose wedding dresses so I think it was a coincidence that the dress I fell in love with was “The Mia dress”.
